Kwik Lok is looking for an innovative and inclusive manager to lead our Shannon facility’s financial and other office activities. This role reports to the Kwik Lok Ireland Plant Manager and will serve as a financial business partner to him with the responsibility to provide financial management and guidance for business decisions in support of the plant’s strategic objectives. The Finance Manager is responsible for interacting with corporate accounting systems including general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, internal controls, and compliance. They will also serve as the local Human Resources representative for Kwik Lok Ireland employees. As a member of the plant management team, the Finance Manager will also be involved in the implementation of employee engagement and culture initiatives. Such training as may be necessary to excel in this role would be provided.


Accounting and Finance

  • Lead all accounting activities for Kwik Lok Ireland including payroll, accounts payable, fixed assets, and cash management
  • Maintain financial reports:
    • Perform monthly financial close functions through preparation of financial statements
    • Develop, monitor, and maintain annual budget
    • Report financial status by reporting results, analyzing variances, and developing improvements
    • Act as primary interface with banks and government officials
  • Process weekly and monthly Payroll:
    • Ensure accuracy of time records and payroll calculations
    • Prepare and submit payment files through banking system
    • Assure legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with local laws and regulations
    • Manage pensions and insurances policies, including communication with brokers, arrangement of payments, and communication with employees
    • Includes payroll for employees in Holland and Belgium
  • Perform Accounts Payable duties:
    • Includes invoicing supervision, vendor and other electronic payments, and tax reconciliations
    • Ensure accuracy of all purchase orders issued, including pricing and delivery confirmations
  • Create relationships with global stakeholders:
    • Work directly with corporate Controller and Chief Financial Officer to develop and improve internal controls and procedures
    • Establish and develop relationships with counterparts at other plants as well as external partners and stakeholders
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Accounts Receivable/Customer Service Specialist
  • Lead preparation of audit and tax information requirements
  • Update job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations

Human Resources

  • Coordinate with global HR team with guidance from the Chief People Officer to provide on-site support to Kwik Lok Ireland employees and managers by communicating, seeking out needs and concerns, consulting, and advising
  • Be a visible presence and work effectively and cooperatively across departments to achieve outstanding employee and management relations
  • Assist supervisors and managers with coaching, discipline, company policy, and legal compliance
  • Partner with global HR team to ensure consistent administration of policies, procedures, forms, and communication
  • Lead implementation of People initiatives


  • Member of recognised Accounting Body – ACA/ACCA/CIMA or CPA
  • 5 years of related experience, with experience in leadership positions
  • Experience in a manufacturing organization
  • Experience working with auditors, internal controls, and compliance-related issues
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Ireland without sponsorship


  • Strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management, general finance and budgeting, GAAP, and financial reporting
  • Demonstrates advocacy for change and continued process improvement - champions innovative ideas and encourages team members to try innovative approaches to solve key operational issues
  • Effectively communicates with and relates to people at all levels within the organization; proactively communicates and collaborates with team members across departmental lines to achieve results
  • Facilitates consensus, resolves conflicts, and overcomes resistance from teams and individuals
  • Coaches and mentors team members to maximize skills and talent; provides resources for team member development
  • Uses appropriate resources, analysis, experiences, judgment, and wisdom to make timely, sound business decisions
  • Effectively uses key performance indicators to drive results
  • Experience with corporate governance and consolidation of financial reports from global subsidiaries
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical financial information to others at all levels
